Welcome to the adventure!
Hi, hello, thanks for stopping by!
If you’re new around here, welcome. I’m so glad you’ve stumbled upon this random corner of the internet, and I’d love to take a moment to introduce myself.
I’m Allison and I love Jesus, people, learning, and adventure more than just about anything else. Professionally, I run a business crafting content, creating digital strategies, and writing for amazing nonprofit organizations around the world so that they can raise more money and better do the work they were born to do. Not-professionally, I read a lot of books, bake a lot of cookies, and spent a year backpacking around the world. I’ve got abroad-living parents, a rockstar ultra-marathoner sister, and a tribe of friends that are some of the best humans on the planet.
Those are the basics, but if you want to learn more, head to About Me.
This whole thing started back in 2015 when I quit my job so that I could pursue a lifelong dream – to travel around the world.
Beginning in January of 2016, I spent 11 months exploring 37 countries on 6 continents, meeting amazing people, eating crazy food, and climbing very scary mountains.
It was the hardest and best thing I have ever done.
To keep my loved ones up-to-date on my adventures (and to assure them that I was alive), I started this blog sharing my thoughts from the road. (Also, Instagram. Always Instagram.)
I wrote about logistical things like how to pack and guides for visiting popular spots, but I spent the majority of my time reflecting on how my experiences were transforming the way I thought about God, the world, and myself.
Turns out that uprooting your entire everything makes you process life – who knew?!
I’ve since returned home (though I still spend large chunks of time abroad), but the stories continue. Adventures happen everywhere, and I’m excited to share them with you!
